Media Resource Library
Introduction
The Media Resource Library Club is a welcoming community where every voice is valued, and each member plays a role in shaping our activities. Here, students who love reading come together to inspire a school-wide passion for literature, creating a space that celebrates everyone’s unique perspectives and interests. Our members go beyond reading to develop skills in design, summarising, and publishing, crafting engaging book reviews, posters, and other activities that make stories accessible and exciting for all.
Join the Media Resource Library Club to find a community that listens, values your ideas, and brings them to life in ways that inspire everyone!
Vision
Be the welcoming heart of our school where all can come to read, learn,
discover and connect.
Mission
To serve as a platform to ignite the joy of reading, gain knowledge and
life skills, and empower students to champion library activities.
CCA Activities
-
Community Service: Through values-in-action (VIA) projects, members empower peers with a love for storytelling and reading, making literacy accessible to everyone.
-
Tailored Programmes: By actively listening to our members' ideas, we design events and programs that resonate with the diverse interests and requests of students. Partnerships with the National Library Board (NLB) and local museums also offer fresh, exciting ways to encourage a love for reading.
-
Skill Development: Members gain hands-on experience with digital literacy, critical thinking, event management, and creative media—skills that enhance their holistic education.
-
Collaborative Media Projects: Working with other CCAs, our members develop engaging multimedia content, such as videos, book reviews, and social media posts, promoting a love for reading that reflects our school community’s interests.
-
Thematic Book Displays & Event-Based Activities: Members curate thematic book displays and organise activities and competitions for school-wide events, such as National Day, Ethnic Celebration Week, and Mental Health Week, making reading and literacy meaningful and relevant to the school community.
